The Bullets Were the Bottleneck
BulletGen
A procedural 3D modelling tool built to unblock a friend's game -- a high-fidelity gun maintenance sim where the tangible feel of repairing and testing weapons is the whole point. Accurate ammunition was stalling the build: every round was fiddly to model, had to fit the weapon, and had to split into bullet, casing, and primer -- all for something secondary to what the game is actually about. BulletGen removes the barrier. It turns published technical specs (diameter, weight, taper) into accurate models on a digital lathe, then lets you customise the round: shell colour, maker's marks, the chamfer on the base ring, base engraving, and side print for shotgun shells. Hosted on my own nodes on the Dollama network, so it may occasionally be offline.
What it proves: I build the tool that unblocks the team — published specs in, production-ready assets out.
